Founder & President of the 1st USAPA in 1984. Tournament director for over 90 tournaments in the Seattle/Tacoma area. All proceeds from tournaments were given to food banks. During his tenure as USAPA President he developed a ranking system, expanded the official rules, offered free clinics, published a quarterly newsletter and was the driving force to help take pickleball from the backyard and develop it into a true sport. He stayed active in pickleball till 1995.
